Richard founded Lightsource to solve a problem he saw repeatedly: the gap between what designers envision and what actually gets installed. Over 20 years in the industry, he's built relationships with manufacturers worldwide and developed the technical expertise to bridge that gap.

It began with Arthur Brown, a fisherman who saw an opportunity and opened Northern Ireland's first commercial lighting showroom in the 1980s. His sons Richard and Anthony grew up in the business, learning the trade before they could drive.
